Professor Falkner-Radler is an Associate professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Vienna, Austria and an Adjunct Assistant professor at Weill Cornell University, New York, US. Also, she is Chief of Clinicians at Rudolfstiftung Hospital, Ophthalmology Department, Austria. She has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests are vitreoretinal disorders and surgical approaches, including retinal detachment surgery, macular surgery and new advances in combined cataract and vitreoretinal surgery as well as intraoperative optical coherence tomography.
Dr Falkner-Radler graduated from the University of Vienna, Austria in 2000. Then she spent her residency program in the Department of Ophthalmology, Rudolf Foundation Hospital, Vienna, Austria. She passed her Board exams for Ophthalmology and Optometry and became a member of the Austrian Medical Association, Vienna, Austria.
Now, Dr Falkner is an associate professor of ophthalmology at Cornell University in New York and the Medical University of Vienna, and the vice-chair of Austrian Young Ophthalmologists. She is a full time attending Retinal Specialist and Surgeon at the Department of Ophthalmology, Rudolf Foundation Clinic, Vienna, Austria.
She has conducted several clinical trials and has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests are vitreoretinal disorders and surgical approaches, including retinal detachment surgery, macular surgery and new advances in combined cataract and vitreoretinal surgery as well as intraoperative optical coherence tomography.
She regularly attends international and national meetings and has been accepted as a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
In addition, She has completed the Leadership development program of the European Society of Ophthalmology “EuLDP”. She has completed several observer-ships at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.
