Dr. Rim Joubran is a Clinical Consultant specializing in endocrine diabetes and metabolism at Loyola Gottlieb Hospital. She is also a Clinical Consultant in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Rush Oak Park since 2000. Dr. Joubran completed her fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania and UIC, and her internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. She is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and is a fellow of the American Clinical Endocrinology Association.

Dr. Joubran is an active member of professional societies, including the Endocrine Society, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. She has presented at national and international meetings, discussing topics such as continuous glucose monitoring and new insulin treatments for type 1 diabetes.

In her teaching role, Dr. Joubran serves as a faculty mentor to medical students and residents at Loyola Gottlieb Hospital. She has also conducted intramural presentations at various hospitals. Furthermore, she has been involved in developing insulin guideline protocols for inpatient and outpatient care at Loyola Gottlieb Memorial.

Dr. Joubran has engaged in research activities, including being a research associate for the Predictive 303 Multisite Study at EDM-Melrose Park. She has also conducted studies on the role of diet in protein synthesis in diabetic individuals, as well as the effects of chronic somatotropin treatment on bone mineral density in patients with adult-onset growth hormone deficiency. She remains actively involved in professional development through CME programs.
