He was admitted as a Collegiate Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG).
He finished his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Diabetes / Endocrinology & Medicine. He then developed the Diabetes Service in the Southern sector of the Western Trust based at the SWAH with outreach service at Tyrone County Hospital Diabetes Centre.
