Dr. Helmy graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt, and holds an MSc in Medicine / Diabetes from the same University. He came to the UK in 2000 and passed the Membership of the Royal College of Ireland (MRCPI) exam. He trained in several Hospitals in the UK.
He was admitted as a Collegiate Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG).
