Doctor Mohsen Khalil graduated from the Faculty of medicine, Cairo university, Egypt, in 1987 and spent his Internship year in Cairo University Hospitals, Egypt. He started his residency in Anesthesia in Cairo university Hospitals till 1992. This was followed by residency in Intensive Care in Al-Hada Armed Forces Hospital, KSA.
He traveled to UK where he continued as a Senior House Officer in Anesthesia and ICU, followed by being a Specialist Registrar in Anesthesia and ICU in 2001. In 2006, he became Consultant in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Heartland NHS Trust Hospital, Birmingham, UK.
Doctor Khalil also received a Master Degree in science from the University of Teeside, Middlesbrough, UK, in quantitative research, qualitative research, statistics, audit, and methods of implementing evidence into practice in NHS settings.
He is senior clinical examiner at the School of Medicine, University of Birmingham, UK and Course director of annual “The Renal Symposium & Workshop” endorsed by the Intensive Care Society of the UK, since 2015.
He was Director of Critical Care & Outreach Services at Manor Hospital, from September 2008 to September 2016, and was a Faculty Tutor in The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, UK, 2010 - 2018.
