Doctor Samso is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with more than 35 years of experience. He is the Head of the Spinal Cord Injuries Unit at the Guttmann Institute in Barcelona. He has been the Vice President of the Spanish Paraplegia Society since 2004. He is an active researcher with more than 100 published national and international articles.
Dr. Samso is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is currently the Head of the Spinal Cord Injuries Unit and the Teaching Director at the Guttmann Institute in Barcelona.
Dr. Samso Is an active researcher in the field of repair and
spinal neuromodulation. He is responsible for the program of Research in Neurorepair and Advanced Therapies at the Guttmann Institute. He has published more than 100 articles indexed in national and international journals.
Also, he is a member of the NEUROCEL research networks of the TERCEL network (therapy network cell) and NEUROTEC network (thematic research network in neurotechnology for assistance and rehabilitation.
He is also Director of the Official Master's Degree in Neurorehabilitation of the Institut Guttmann (UAB), and is accredited as Assistant Professor Doctor and Contracted Professor Doctor by ANECA and as Professor by AQU (agency of quality of the university system of Catalonia).
