In 2012 he was appointed visiting Professor Centre for Skin Science University of Bradford and is their clinical director. Professor Wright has a degree in immunology.

He is a member of several professional societies including the British Association of Dermatologists and the American Academy of Dermatology.

He has a particular interest in skin cancers and eczemas and has experience in dealing with cases in relation to occupational skin diseases and dermatitis, as well as reactions to cosmetics and other adverse reactions to skin treatments.
