Dr. Ahmed currently works as a consultant Neurosurgeon with a special interest in complex spinal surgery at Queens Hospital, London. Dr. Ibrahim won numerous international awards in the management of spinal conditions. This is complemented by advanced stem cell research work, as he currently co-leads a research programme in the use of stem cells in the treatment of spinal cord injury and neurological dysfunction which showed that restoration of function was possible using highly specialized cells.
Dr. Ibrahim received his MBBS at St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in London. He then completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Toronto Western Hospital, Canada. Dr. Ibrahim also undertook a travelling fellowship to premier spinal centres in the USA to complement his training.
Dr. Ibrahim has been awarded numerous prestigious prizes from the Congress of Neurological Surgeons/American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Cervical Spine Research Society. Dr. Ibrahim has been awarded scholarships from the Royal College of England and Hospital Corporation of America in recognition of his achievements. Moreover, Dr. Ibrahim was recently selected to represent Europe as part of a group of six global travelling spinal fellows to visit premier spinal centres in the USA and Canada.
Mr Ibrahim is also engaged in training and education and is the assigned educational supervisor for higher neurosurgical training at Queen's Hospital, in Romford, London.
