Dr. Marian Bencat is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist with a wealth of experience in both non-invasive and invasive cardiology, specializing in echocardiography and pacing. Dr. Bencat has demonstrated expertise in a wide array of clinical skills including general cardiology, pacemaker implantation (both simple and complex), echocardiography, angiography, and implantable monitors. He obtained his medical degree (MUDr) from Comenius University Bratislava, Jessenius Faculty, and completed his CCST in Cardiology at IKEM, Prague, Czech Republic in October 2008.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bencat has held several prominent positions in esteemed medical institutions. He has served as a Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospitals Sussex in Worthing since October 2014, where he provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on pacing and complex device implants. He has also led the Echocardiography department since 2011 and played a pivotal role in re-establishing the transoesophageal echocardiography service at Worthing Hospital.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Bencat held various roles including Specialty Doctor in Cardiology at WSHT Worthing Hospital, Associate Clinical Professor at the University of the Caribbean, and Consultant Cardiologist at Eagle Lodge Cardiology in Ireland. His diverse experiences have equipped him with a broad perspective on cardiac care, from outpatient consultations to leading intricate interventional procedures.

Dr. Bencat's dedication to education is evident through his extensive teaching activities. He has been actively involved in teaching medical students, registrars, and specialty doctors since 2011. His excellence in teaching led to his appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor for the American University of the Caribbean in 2018.
